Cancer Leadership Academy 2025-2026 Application

OVERVIEW

The Cancer Leadership Academy aims to support diverse faculty in making successful transitions into leadership roles that advance the high standards and achievements in cancer research, clinical care, outreach, and education of the UCDCCC. The Academy prepares new and aspiring leaders using didactic learning, mentorship, and demonstration of proficiency through a capstone project. Fellows will gain an understanding of recognized leadership competencies and will be able to execute them at levels appropriate to their positions.

Eligibility

Faculty appointment at UC Davis or UC Davis Health below the Full Professor rank
Member of the Cancer Center
Demonstrated desire for career evolution within the UC Davis or UC Davis Health leadership structure with priority given to applicants interested in positions with UCDCCC
Able to fully engage in the 18-month Academy, participate in leadership activities, and complete a Capstone Project Blueprint by graduation to be implemented in the year after graduation
Potential to use the knowledge gained from the Leadership Academy and apply it to various academic situations and positions
